Company Honored for its Commitment to Excellence and Quality
North Kingstown, RI — Anvil Engineered Pipe Supports (Anvil EPS) was recognized for outstanding work on projects by Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security & Environmental global business unit at the Bechtel Supply Chain Recognition awards. The awards recognize subcontractors and suppliers who supported Bechtel‘s work in nuclear power, environmental clean-up, defense, and nuclear security and operations projects during 2017.
“Our subcontractor and supplier community relationships are the cornerstone to many of our highly technical, and often first-of-a-kind projects,” said Barbara Rusinko, president of Bechtel’s Nuclear, Security and Environmental global business unit. “The performance of these suppliers continues to enhance our ability to deliver superior service to our customers and advance innovation in the industry.”
Rick Laviolette, VP/GM of Anvil EPS, received the award on behalf of his team. “We are proud to have received this prestigious award from Bechtel”, Laviolette said. “This award is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our front line employees and our middle management. As one of the largest engineering firms in the world, Bechtel has been and continues to be one of our major customers. There are several new potential opportunities for our companies to expand upon our partnership and we look forward to our continued success.”
Anvil EPS supplies custom engineered supports and fabricated structures for one of the country’s largest nuclear military waste treatment plants, Hanford WTP located in Washington State. This project was started in 2004 and is overseen by the US Department of Energy. Anvil has played a key role in supplying critical components to this project.
Companies were evaluated on multiple factors. They include: overall performance; the ability to deliver quality services/supplies on time; the ability to work collaboratively to meet milestones; and meeting or exceeding project expectations in aspects of safety, construction performance, technical expertise, and environmental compliance. Nominations were reviewed and approved by Bechtel procurement and project managers. Final recommendations were approved by senior leadership.
